The Breathing City Ice-Traffic Art Installation at the South Bank Centre, London

Ice-Traffic (presented by The Breathing City)

Documentary photographs of The Breathing City’s Ice-Traffic installation at the South Bank Centre, London. Ice-Traffic is a sculptural event with a gradually melting two tonne ice mass as the focal point. Also, immersive soundscapes and projected moving images. The installation is sponsored by The Royal Society, University of Brighton, Met Office and QED Productions.

‘This project is an ongoing art and science collaboration between an urban meteorologist, a designer, a material practitioner and a composer/sound artist. Together they have embarked on a journey to explore modes of data representation that connect the personal with the scientific, and the sensory experience with the rational.’ More details at University of Brighton website.
