Studio Photography Leather Wallet Lit with One Softbox

Wallet photographed for a web magazine.

The with one softbox placed on the right side as we look at the wallet. The outer sheet was taken off the softbox to increase contrast. I placed the wallet on a piece of white paper. The paper was raised so that the front of it curved forward. I wanted the wallet to look balanced on something as if it was going to fall off. Because of the cracked nature of the wallet I wasn’t concerned about the paper looking a bit creased.

I darkened and made the image punchier in Photoshop, increasing contrast and darkening the areas around the wallet in order to make the wallet stand out.
