Studio Lighting A Football Shoe

 I shot this football shoe in the studio using two Prolite 60’s to white out the background, and a single Prolite 100 fitted to a softbox with the inner scrim and outer skin removed to provide more contrasty light. Harsher light would help bring out some life in the black areas of the shoe.  Black areas in an image absorb a lot of light.

There were some parts of the image which didn’t come out perfectly white so I used the dodge tool in Photoshop to clean up the image.
