Photographer’s progress

Had a chat with my accountant and signed off my accounts for 2006/7. He suggested I might set up as a limited company if my net profits stay over £10,000 per annum.Got to pay out £700 in tax and accountants fee by the end of this month.

Spent some time time with young Adam about how he can set himself up as a photographers assistant and develop his portfolio as a photographer and promote the two aspects of his work. Also talked about ideas for us working together. I think collaboration will help to progress my objectives.

I must make changes to my website and prepare promotional flyers as a matter of urgency. I need to find more work soon in a month which is notorious for being quiet.

Not sure if I should take up the offer of sharing a studio with another photographer even if he is providing lighting equipment. It’s a case of whether a commitment to sending in the region of £3600 for the year in rent is worth it or not. I already have a studio space which is a smaller commitment.

Not heard from Amnesty re my Gaza exhibition. Will need to know soon as I have to prepare for it.

I’m falling behind in so many areas of what I have to do. Speaking to colleagues, it’s the way it goes … all the time and especially this time of the year…
