Self-employed and falling ill

I got one of the killer flu type bugs that lives in Brighton and has been knocking people for six the last few years. Christmas eve till today has been a right off despite trying to get bits of work done. Falling ill and working alone don’t go well together. I’ll have to consider some kind of insurance!

The process of defining what you do as a self-employed person is one thing, and understanding the legal, financial, social and historical context of your position in the workforce is another, and a very complex one.

I have had to do two days Photoshopping to catch up on lost time. As money goes out I need to get work finished and paid otherwise the end of the month will be very painful. Monday I need to start putting together a mailout for design, marketing and ad companies based in Brighton.
